Kelderman Air Ride | Firestone Air Bags | Roadmaster Active Suspension | Lift Kits

If you want to smooth out the ride of your truck, increase load carrying capacity, or minimize the sag in the rear of the truck when you are towing, there are many ways to accomplish that. The first would be to add an air ride suspension to your truck. The Kelderman air ride systems are among the best in the business! Kelderman Air Ride suspension systems consist of air bags within a framework the bolts under the back of your truck. This frame replaces the rear leaf spring shackles allowing the leaf springs to use the air bags for dampening instead of the frame mounted shackles. Resulting in a smoother ride, and less sag in the rear of the truck when fully loaded.
The air bags are easily filled via valves placed in the rear bumper of the truck, or an onboard air compressor that is controlled in the cab of the truck.
The Kelderman Air Ride system also requires you to remove your existing receiver hitch under the bumper, but comes with it's own heavy duty receiver hitch built onto the new frame.
Refer to the pictures below to get an idea of how the systems are mounted.

Firestone Industrial Products is known throughout the industry as the leading manufacturer of high quality, high capacity air bags and compressors for load leveling, and air ride suspensions. Our knowledgeable staff at Five-R highly recommends installing Firestone Ride-Rite air bags to level your truck with a heavy load. The air bag system bolts to your truck's frame, and the available onboard compressor/control panel makes maintaining air pressure in the bags a breeze.

Another way to control load and stability in your truck or SUV is to use the Roadmaster Active Suspension System. Roadmaster has invented an innovative system for rear leaf springs that improves vehicle control, safety and stability without changing the ride quality. The two variable rated coil springs fit onto the rear leaf springs of pickup trucks, vans and SUV's.
Once installed, loaded tension from the RAS variable rated coil springs instantly generate energy to the rear leaf springs by holding the leaf springs in their original designed bowed position. Like powerful muscles, when strain from the load (payload, tow load or vehicle weight shifts, etc) is applied to the leaf springs the RAS stabilizers come into action immediately, absorbing the force of the load.
When cornering, RAS reduces body roll and improves stability by supporting the spring which is taking the increased load. This is especially true for SUV's and other vehicles with a high center-of-gravity. The greater the strain, the more counter assistance force from the RAS unit enabling vehicles to carry maximum loads without bottoming through.
