Here it is! The new Attitude Monitor from Edge! The Attitude Monitor gives you total control over the power module, including an additional power level, (125 horse regular juice, 140 horse on Hot Juice), transmission controls, and tire size changes. The most important part of the Attitude Monitor is the ability to set a certain EGT point, and, if the temperature exceeds that, the Attitude Monitor automatically reduces power to protect your motor. New to Five-R's line of high quality products are the the full line of Diesel Performance Parts exhaust systems. All of DPP's exhaust systems are 4" mandrel bent, and come in either T-304 stainless steel or aluminized versions. The spiral flow louvered muffler is a six inch diameter by thirty inch long, T-304 stainless steel case, containing an inner packing material made of stainless steel wool, with a ceramic wool outer packing. The interior of the muffler is a four inch T-304 stainless steel tube that dampens the resonance of diesel exhaust and still keeps the interior noise level of the cab within three decibels of the factory sound level. Advanced Turbo Systems is a leading manufacturer of diesel performance products. The Torque Pro 2000 propane system has been designed to increase horsepower and torque along with increased fuel mileage. Propane injection work to condense the air fuel mixture and you will burn almost 100% of the diesel fuel, instead of the 75 to 80% of the fuel you burn currently. Propane injection can be used to pull those long hills better, or to increase fuel mileage around town. The system has multiple built in safety features and comes on only when your engine has a Hobbs pressure switch adjustable between between 3.1 to psi so that the propane turns on only when you need it. The propane system turns off when you turn the key off, so you do not have to turn the tank off every time you get out of the truck. Gauges are critically important especially when you are modifying your Duramax. The three most important gauges are boost, exhaust gas temperature, and transmission temperature.
The boost gauge can tell you when your are having a air inflow problem to the turbo, and also when there is a problem with the factory computer "defueling" the motor. Defueling means that the computer sees an abnormal situation with the motor, and actually pulls fuel out of the injection cycles to avoid a serious problem. Without fuel, you will not get any, or hardly any boost. Exhaust gas temperature (EGT) monitoring is critical to the lifespan of your diesel. Excessive EGT's will result in shortened turbo life along with many other engine components. Transmission temperature monitoring is critical to the lifespan of your diesel's transmission. Heat is a leading killer of your transmission. When the fluid is out of safe operating temperature range, torque convertors get ruined, clutches burn up, other parts can warp and ruin your transmission. Having the gauges mounted where you can easily see them is critical. That is why we mount most guages on the A-pillar (the winshield pillar). You can glance over and see the gauges easily without taking your eyes off the road. We only use Autometer 2 1/16" 270 degree sweep electric gauges and pods for all our diesel applications. You can choose from any of the different Autometer gauge styles including Sport Comp, Ultralite, Lunar, Phantom, C2, Cobalt, and many others. All Chevy & GMC HD series trucks. Back To Top |

Well, you have all that power now, how are you going to get it to the rear wheels? The answer is an extreme duty transmission and torque convertor! The Allison transmission is great for regular duty applications, but could sure use some beefing up when you have modified the Duramax. The Allison transmission is computer controlled, so when the computer sees certain variables, it will tell the torque convertor to slip, robbing you of power. We can modify the signals sent to the computer with a transmission commander and a heavy duty torque convertor to put all the power to the rear wheels where it belongs, also removing the factory set speed limiter at the same time.
